Lessons Learned at RS11

Having dinner with my fab tarot peeps from around the world!

Last year after RS10 completed, I took some time to reflect on what I learned.  I was surprised at what I took away from the experience and it surely convinced me that I needed to go to RS11.  This year, I walked away with many things:

1.  Thanks to the class with the Amberstones, I realized that I can make some sense out of the Kabbalah in relation to tarot.  I always struggled with it but grasped a few things in this class and may investigate more.

2.  I never considered myself a ‘creative type’ when it came to tarot – I always used “tried and true” spreads like the Celtic Cross.  Barbara Moore’s interactive class showed me that I can indeed create a great spread.  (I had a fabulous partner, Jaymi Elford and we won a cupcake!)

3.  Corrine Kenner is a very good astrology teacher.  I always think astrology is hard to teach (I’ve taught it and can vouch that it is overwhelming for the teacher AND student).  But she did it so effortlessly – I was impressed.

4.  Sometimes we all need a little help.  When I struggled with Caitlin Matthew’s class, Mike Hernandez came to my rescue.  Thanks Mike!

5.  Young tarot readers rock!  Hilary Parry blew me away with her accurate and intense reading.  She’s a true tarot thug!

6.  Technology is king.  Bill Reichl introduced us to his new app for learning tarot – and then Marcus Katz did a short presentation of a new tarot reading service called Shindig.  Big stuff is happening in the tarot/technology world that could really transform things.  (And of course, I still need to get me an iPad according to Mary Greer.)

7.  Dan Pelletier gives a great palm reading!  Thanks Dan!  My husband agreed btw with your assessment.  ;)

8.  Tarot peeps are the best!  I had so much fun mingling and hanging out.  That was the part that made this conference so fantastic!  It’s the spending time with like minded tarot folk that really makes my heart sing.  I can’t wait for next year!

A big thank you to the Amberstones for once again rocking my tarot world!  XXOO

Blessings!
